Stamford Bridge Festival 2017
« on: April 15, 2017, 11:23:07 PM »
This year's Stamford Bridge Festival will be held on 23rd September. It will be a smaller event than last year - which was special because of the 950th anniversary - but will still involve living history, skirmishes (on a smaller scale) and stalls. The new committee (of which I am the secretary!) has decided to run a larger event every second year.

And the Companions' stall is booked (I believe)!

Brilliant event, every time

I shall wield my powers as secretary and make jolly sure our pitch is booked (or maybe just ask nicely!)

Ooh yes please!! I may be getting another (smaller) one for our arsenal soon, thanks to a very kind and skilful GesiĆ¾ from Sussex.

I may have worried the lady at Sutton Bank when I suggested we would be having a "weapons corner" - but she soon got over it :)

I'm pretty sure the wooden swords they sell the kids would be more dangerous anyway...

Any weapon in the hands of small children is going to be dangerous - I regularly get injured by duplo, toy cars and plastic rattles! Little darlings.
