Title: Fractions
Post by: David on July 19, 2014, 03:43:47 PM

I have come across ½ being healf.
It appears that 1/3 can be driddandǣl and ¼ can be feorðandǣl. Does that continue eg: 1/5  fiftandǣl and 1/6 siextandǣl etc?
For ¼ I have also come across feorðling and feorðung. Do we get something similar for other fractions?

Would the pattern continue with 2/3 being twēġen driddandǣl etc?
I have seen twǣde for 2/3. How does that fit in?

Would 41/3 be fīfta driddandǣl etc?
Would 43/4 be fīfta þrīe feorðandǣl etc?
